New Look-New Resolution

Happy New Year! I know I made a point of saying I was going to write more last year and then only posted three postings, so here's to another try!

Uncle Bruce and I designed a new page and are going to do our best to post atleast monthly. We are encouraging others to do the same. We know Facebook is the easy way to go to see everyone at once, however, Tirza made a great point about printing your blog yearly and having a Family Journal.

So here is to the New Year and New Resolutions! We love you all!

The lights and concert at the Temple were awesome! Thank you Rod and Lynda for the delightful crowning moment and ending our vacation on a wonderful note! I had to share some pictures of the lights at the Temple and here's to another wonderful year!

Vacation 2011

Hello from sunny Arizona!

So much for doing good with posting, however we will end the year with our vacation and hope to do better next year!

We began our vacation Saturday, the 17th. We had a slow start out of Fallon...not because we weren't ready, but because we had car trouble and had to borrow Mom's bravada and reload everything! Thanks Mom!!!

We left Fallon around 1:30 PM and headed for Gilbert, Arizona. First stop...Rod and Lynda's. We arrived around 2:30 AM Sunday morning. Thank goodness Rod and Lynda were nice enough to let us sleep in and we got up and went to Sacrament and Sunday School at Crystal's Ward. It was nice having Crystal teach us the Gospel Doctrine lesson and we were able to meet Maelee.

After Church we had a family dinner with Rod, Lynda and Lynne. We had a nice visit and got a little sleep. Monday we left for Deming, New Mexico to visit my parents, aunt, uncle and niece. We arrived at their house around 4:30 PM and had some dinner and visited. It was so good to see my mom and dad up and around after their accident. Thank you Stevie, for taking such good care of them! We appreciate you soooo much!

We were able to spend four and a half wonderful days visiting, playing pool, sleeping in and cooking for our parents. Friday we woke up to.....SNOW! We brought Christmas to New Mexico of all places. Southern New Mexico at that. Uncle Bruce and Stevie had a great time playing pool and Uncle Bruce supplied Stevie with enough snow to build a life size snowman.

Alas, our four and half days came to an end and we headed back to Arizona. We were ready to leave by 8AM in the morning but all the highways were closed and we had a two hour delay. We were lucky enough to get back to Arizona just in time to go to a Christmas Eve Dinner with Rod and Lynda's family. We missed you Jacob, Joni and Xelly!

It was fun taking pictures and watching the excitement of the kids opening their presents. Although we missed our grandkids, it was nice having little ones around and we are grateful to Rod, Lynda and family sharing the fun with us!

This morning we attended a wonderful Sacrament meeting with lots of beautiful music and worshipping. We are now preparing a tri tip for lunch and we will go visit Crystal's family in a little while and end our day at the Temple to see the light display.

It has been a wonderful trip and we appreciate those who hosted us and allowed us to share this wonderful time of the year with them. Merry Christmas to all and have a wonderful 2012!

New Year, New Look

Just thought we would start off the New Year with a new look and hopefully be posting a little more frequently.

We miss everybody's blog now that Facebook has taken over. We do appreciate those who still update their blogs and encourage everyone to try to post at least monthly. The blogs really make it nice to print out books for the year as Tirza pointed out earlier.

We hope everybody is off to a good start for 2011 and wish everyone a very happy and healthy New Year!

Birthday Girl of the Month!

Kennedie celebrated her 2nd birthday Saturday, August 14th with an Elmapalooza Party. We had such a good time and were so happy to be a part of her special day. We set up a mini water park in the back yard and the kids had a great time. Carly did a wonderful job of providing decorations, an Elmo pinata and as you can see matching t-shirts she made for her and Kennedie. The day was a smashing success!

A few weeks after returning home from Finn's blessing we had another new addition to the family. Annabelle Jean Beach was born July 22, 2010. She weighs 6 lbs 6 ozs and was 19 1/2 inches long. Lisa did a great job and I was very happy to be a part of her arrival. The girls are now a head by one birth!

The day after we left from meeting Finn, Scarlett decided to join the family. I apologize for not posting this sooner but the last few weeks have been a blur. We are hoping to go to Utah the first weekend in September for Scarlett's blessing and to meet her.

We had a great time in Utah meeting Mr. Finn and attending his blessing. He is such a sweet boy! Grandma had a wonderful time holding him and we had a great visit. We were able to tape Mae singing (with Josh trying to join along), Elle dancing, Axcil playing with his family, and we got to meet Emily and reaquaint ourselves with Maddie. It was so good to see everyone. The only regret...Miss Scarlett decided to join the family eleven hours after Grandma and Grandpa went home!

Sorry it has taken so long. I was having trouble getting the pictures to post. Here is Finn Martin Huish, our eleventh grandchild. We are looking forward to visiting with him this weekend and seeing our family in Utah. We can't wait to hold the little guy and get to know him. It is such a blessing to welcome his sweet little spirit and I am sure he is being well taken care of by Mommy, Mae and Elle. Daddy is going to have to save him from all that female attention.

Carly was finally able to make it to Utah to take some pictures of the newest addition of our family. Finn Martin Huish was born April 8th and Auntie made the trip to meet the little guy. As you can see he is all ready smiling and is happy to have joined the family. We are looking forward to attending his blessing and getting to meet him for the first time! Thanks Carly for the pictures!

Terrible Poster!

I have been inspired by Tirza to recommit myself to posting. She made a point when she talked about being able to make your blogs into books and journalizing what is going on in your life.

We welcomed a new grandson, Finn Martin Huish this past month. As soon as I get a picture I will post it and share with everyone. I am also going to do what I promised in my last post and beginning with Finn, I will post once a month a new picture of each grandchild and give an update on each.

We are so excited that the family continues to grow and are awaiting the birth of granddaughter who will be number 12 in June and not sure of the sex of number 13 due to join the family in August.

Wow, I just looked at my blog and realized it has been sacrificed since I have been looking at Facebook. The last time I blogged Brentt was three weeks old. Now he is three months old! Where does the time fly to. Not only is Brentt three months old, Alayna is six months old, Kennedie turned one, Josh is 8 months old, Gabriel turned three, Axcil turned three, Elle turned three and Mae Mae is Four! Crazy!

Starting next week I will post the most recent picture of have of each grandchild and you can see how blessed we are. This smile of Brentt's just cracks me up. We were with him, Alayna, Gabe, Owen and Chase lastnight at Carl's Birthday! The cousins all have so much fun together and they just make life worth living!

We look forward to welcoming in the new spirits next year!

Three Weeks Old

Brentt is three weeks old today! He is doing well. He is 7lbs 4 ounces and 21 3/4 inches long. He is a very good baby and fun to have around. Here is his "thinker" picture.

We had a fun time on Tuesday, July 14th. We had a Family Barbeque at our house with Leslie, Carl, Corrine, Brielle, Aria, Cristiana, Peter, Ben, Jack, Brad, Tirza, Owen, Bryan, Tricia, Brentt, Grandma, Soren, DJ, Lisa, Gabe, Alayna and... oh yeah, Connie and Bruce.

I was thinking if we got the whole family together with all the new additions I don't think our house would work!!!

It was a nice time, I hope for all, we enjoyed having the family around and it was so good to see Cristiana and the boys again!

Brentt is a week old today. It is sad having to see him in the NICU but we are happy to report that he is breathing on his own and now they are working on gradually getting him to eat 2 ounces. Once he is feeding regularly, and keeping his body temperature up we should be able to bring him home. I am hoping by Monday if all continues to go well!

Getting Better

Day two at St Mary's NICU: Brentt is able to suck his pacifier and Tricia was able to bottle feed him 10 cc's. As of 8AM this morning he was breathing on his own. Tricia is visiting him now. We will let everyone know when he is able to come home!

Update

Brentt is still in the hospital. I was able to hold him tonight for about forty-five minutes. He still is not breathing very well. I would like Tricia to get a second opinion because I am not at all impressed by our hospital, so I am hoping she will do something tomorrow. I am trying to back off and allow her to be the mommy, it is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. They tried to bottle feed him tonight because he pulled his gavage tube out of his throat! He is stubborn like his parents good luck to them all!

Tricia is planning on keeping this baby. She is on a waiting list for an apartment. For now, she will be staying with us. Please continue praying for Brentt's health and for them to get a home!

I will try to get some more pictures after work tomorrow but it is very sad because he is hooked up to a lot of different equipment. Maybe he will have a turn for the better tonight and his pictures won't be so sad. He did have a blessing yesterday!

Brentt Wayne Hall was born to Tricia Jo Andres Friday, June 26th at 5:46 PM. He weighs 6 lbs and is 18 1/4 " long. He is having a little difficulty breathing, when we find out more I will let everyone know.

Hi Family,

I am sure you have all seen the pictures of Joshua, but if not, Grandma is going to show him off.

We are going to meet Joshua this weekend and we are very excited!

Tricia just received the news that she is having a boy around the middle of July, so I will post a picture of her ultrasound.

Hope everyone is doing good! Sorry I have not been posting much, maybe this will get me going for the year and soon we will have a baby girl to post. Lisa is due in March, but has been known to deliver early so we will post when our new girl arrives!

Babies, Babies and More Babies!

We are so excited to be welcoming six new family members in 2009! It is amazing the growth of this family and so wonderful!

Our family will be welcoming four new babies in 2009! Joel and Shannon will welcome Joshua Joel sometime at the beginning of February. Poor Shannon has had a rough time, but I am glad they were finally able to give her something to help her out. We are hoping this last trimester will be good for her!

DJ and Lisa will welcome a baby girl sometime at the beginning of April. We saw them last week and they are looking tired all ready. We hope they will get some sleep before their daughter arrives. Lisa has had a healthy pregnancy and has been able to work. Hopefully she will continue feeling well.

Tricia is expecting a baby sometime in August. Her first doctor appointment will be in January and we will be able to send more news as she progresses.

Corrie is expecting and will also deliver in August. She too is waiting for her first appointment so she will be able to give us more news!

Thank you Chelsea for posting the monthly growth blogs. I enjoy reading them and trying to keep straight were everyone is. I hope the second trimester will be better for you!

Family Additions!

The family is expanding! In June of 2008 DJ married Lisa Fiddler and added a new grandson to the mix. His name is Gabe and he will be 2 September 7. We also added a granddaughter on August 11, 2008. Kennedie Jo was 8 pounds 1ounce and was twenty one inches long. We are expecting two new grandchildren next year-Joel and Shannon are expecting sometime in March and DJ and Lisa are expecting around May. We are blessed beyond belief and just wanted to let everyone meet our new additions!

Sometimes I get a little bored and have to create something new. I wish I had a better grasp on this posting thing, because I would probably try to create something crazy. I got tired of the orange and blue seemed to be the best color for the beach theme. Anyhow, I hope I haven't scared anyone and I need some help on creating a playlist. I love popping on to your sites and hearing all the fun music. As you can see, I have just figured out how to add the spots I like to visit. I am having fun keeping up on all the new postings and hope you enjoy our sight as well!

This is the picture taken last October when Tricia received Student of the Month. She is doing so awesome, she had a teacher nominate her for Who's Who in Academics. We recently completed their profile and sent a picture so we hope to get a yearbook from them sometime toward the end of the year!

Tomorrow my baby will turn seventeen!! It is hard to believe, yet in a weird way I am accepting it. I think the boys paved the way through the teenage turmoil, and although she has her moments, I think she is turning out to be one terrific lady!

When I started to post that last blog, I was sitting in a waiting room while Tricia underwent surgery. Just as I started getting the hang of their computer, Tricia was finished and all turned out well.

She had a cyst in her throat that was wrapped up in her lymphnodes. The doctor said this was the first case he had ever seen! Which is saying a lot because he has been in the ear, nose throat business for a long time. The cyst was benign and he says it should not happen again. She still has some swelling in there that will take a while for the other lymphnodes to go back to normal, since they were reacting to the cyst, so anyhow, all is well!!!

I have a picture I want to post, so I will end this comment and move on to the fun stuff!!!

Family & Friends,

Sorry it has been awhile since I last posted. I was down with pneumonia for about three weeks and just when I started to feel better I fell and broke my elbow! December has not been my month.

To make this even funnier, I now have an eye infection and I am feeling just a tad bit frustrated. Being a one armed bandit also makes it even more fun to try and do this. For a good note, it was my left arm, I can see out of one eye and I am still laughing!

Poor Uncle Bruce is really feeling the effects and all I can say is "boy I am glad he is such a compassionate and caring guy!"

So, to anyone who was here for the holidays I hope you will forgive me for staying home and only making my house miserable LOL!

I was so happy to see the three posted comments from my wonderful nieces! I would like to thank Cristiana for her support of me. I don't know why she thinks I will be so good at this, but thankyou for your vote of confidence!

I have really enjoyed everybody's blogs and I hope we all keep it up! This really is fun and I think it would be great if we could compile a book of blogs each year for our Reunions! I want this family to know how grateful I am for their acceptance and love.

I have a long way to go to catch up to Cristiana, Crystal and Corrine who love to blog and the pictures are great!

Sunday Thoughts

I just wanted to share a really interesting story that one of our youths shared with us today. This girl is in a room with card files, like you would find at a library, lining the walls from top to bottom. As she looks around, she finds all kinds of files listed as, "girls she likes, friends she has had, television programs she has watched, etc."

She pulls out a few cards and reads each memory exactly as it has happened. Each entry is signed with her name. Some bring joyful memories, others bring tears to her eyes. The television file is full of hours she has wasted. She continues to look around and comes across a file, shinier than others she has seen, such as people she has shared the Gospel with. She is really disappointed to see that there is only a handful of these cards.

The next file she pulls out is listed "lusts." She pulls the file out a small amount, hoping this file is not filled with terrible things. The one card she chooses to read, fills her with shame and she is trying to rip up the cards, but she can not destroy them. She is in tears when she realizes the Savior is in the room with her. She begs Him to not look at her files.

Jesus begins to read through the files and has tears in His eyes. The girl is just mortified wishing she can change what is in her files. Jesus begins to sign each one as she begs Him to stop, He completes each card with His name. She looks at the cards and realizes His signature is in deep red, the blood He has shed for her, and He takes it upon Himself.

What a story for each of us to think about. I hope we all take the opportunity to look through our files and hopefully our biggest ones will be repentance and forgiveness.

I know my Savior loves me and I appreciate the atonement He has made in my behalf. I hope you all take this to heart and have a wonderful sabbath day!

Prom Paranoia! LOL

Aren't they cute? What a day! It started at 11:30 AM when Tricia's dad dropped her off to get her hair done. (I was at a Baptism) She called to let me know she had forgotten the check to pay for her hair so she had to wait until I could come over with the visa card. She was happy with her hair, the next obstacle was being happy with the alterations made to her dress. Yeah! obstacle number two was completed! We came home, had lunch and waited for her makeup appointment at 2:30 PM. The makeup artist was behind schedule because of a girl who wasn't happy with what she looked like. When we finished, we stopped by her dads to grab some glitter hairspray and her date called and told me he was waiting at our house and they were early!

Tricia was hypervintillating at this point. We hurried home, got her dress and shoes on, took a couple of pictures and got her off to pick up the rest of the group. What a day! She got home around 12:25PM and she had a wonderful time. Boy am I happy I only experienced Prom vicariously!

What a better time than Thanksgiving to let you know what our family has been up to!

Bruce is keeping busy building or remodeling homes for people. He is so happy when he is creating a place for people to live and I love to see him happy!

I keep busy moving the work of the Lord along. I love the atmosphere I work in and it is very gratifying to be building the kingdom.

Bryan is living in Reno with a couple of buddies from High School. He is working for the Walmart Distribution Center and is putting money a way for school.

A big "Congrats" to Tricia for receiving Student of the Month of October at school, She has an "A" average and is doing really well. We are preparing for Prom this weekend and it has been a fun experience.
